I discovered that I can say things with colors and shapes for which I have no words. Hello I am Kanchan Jaldi and I’m a professional artist. 

My affair with art goes a long way back when I was just a young child. Incapable of speech, I expressed myself by drawing on the walls of our family home. Everyday observations like trees and birds became muse for the day. It only helped my cause that I was born in the Himalayas. Armed with a pencil and a mind full of thoughts, the beauty of nature around me would come alive on my walls.

Unlike many people who give up on their childhood dreams, I didn’t let the spark die and pursued my graduation in Fine Arts from Government College of Chandigarh and topped it up with a post graduation in History of Art from Punjab University.

I take my inspiration from nature and everyday life of denizens of Himalayas. I present my art with an inherent ingenuity and do not mind experimenting with different mediums. On this website, I invite you to revel in my art which encompasses various styles and mediums.
